수학의 선택이 올바른 길일 수 있다.
수학은 새롭게 개편된 공무원 시험의 선택과목 중 하나지만 시험범위가 문과와 이과를 포함한 일반적인 고등수학이고, 현재 시행되고 있는 대학수학능력시험보다 난이도가 비교적 낮게 출제되어 선택하는 수험생 대부분이 90점 이상의 고득점을 목표로 하는 과목으로, 수학의 기본기가 잘 갖추어진 수험생에게는 최소의 시간투자로 좋은 결과를, 기본기가 부족한 수험생이라도 차분하게 준비를 해 나간다면 다른 과목에 비해 상대적으로 어렵지 않게 원하는 결과를 얻을 수 있는 대표적인 효율적 선택과목이다.
그 동안의 기출문제를 분석하고 강의를 하면서 나름대로의 생각을 정리하자면 딱 위의 한 문장
으로 대변할 수 있을 것 같다. 공무원 수학은 전반적으로는 쉬운 난이도로 구성되어 있지만 변별
력을 주기 위한 2∼3문제는 생각보다 훨씬 난이도가 높다. 따라서 이런 문제들을 대비하기 위해
서는 학습량이 비약적으로 많아지는데 이 부분이 어려운 부분이다. 선택이 효율적이기 위해서
수험생들이 원하는 성적과 학습량 사이의 최적화가 반드시 필요한 이유이다.
