미국 서던일리노이대학교 에드워즈빌캠퍼스의 교수이자 대학원 임상심리 프로그램의 책임자이다. 학부와 대학원에서 임상심리학 관련 다양한 과목을 강의하고 있다. 또한 미주리주 세인트루이스에서 사설 임상심리클리닉에서 파트타임으로 근무하고 있다. 세인트루이스에 소재한 워싱턴대학교에서 학사 학위를 받았으며, 세인트루이스대학교에서 임상심리학 석사와 박사학위를 받았다. 인디애나대학교 의과대학 심리학 수련 컨소시엄에서는 박사전 인턴십을 마쳤다. Journal of Clinical Psychology, Ethic & Behavior, Journal of Contemporary Psychotherapy의 편집위원이기도 하다. Professional Psychology: Research and Practice, Teaching of Psychology, Ethic & Behavior, Training and Education in Professional Psychology 등의 학술지에 많은 학술논문을 발표했다. 또한 Karen Goldfinger와 함께 Psychological Assessment and Report Writing을 저술했다. 주요 연구 관심사는 심리치료와 임상심리학 분야에서의 윤리적·전문적 이슈에 관한 것이다. 또한 두 차례에 걸쳐 세인트루이스심리치료협회의 회장직을 역임했으며, 미국심리학회의 회원이다.
