저자(글) Marjane Satrapi

1969년 이란의 Rasht에서 태어났다. 지금은 파리에 살며 뉴요커나 뉴욕타임즈 등의 신문과 잡지에 기고를 하기도 하고, 몇 권의 그림책을 그리기도 했다. 무엇보다 그녀는 열 두가지 언어로 번역된 국제적인 베스트 셀러 페르세폴리스의 작가이다. 페르세폴리스는 뉴욕타임즈의 노터블 북, 하비상, 미국도서관협회의 알렉스 상 등을 수상하였다. 2007년 애니메이션 '페르세폴리스'로 칸 영화제 심사위원상을 수상하였다.
